What To Look For
Making a decision of what tattoo to get is not to be taken lightly. Remember the tattoo is going to be with you for life.
Do your homework and look through the artists photo albums. Examine the quality of the work making sure the color is solid and neat and that the larger tattoos are properly laid out.
Check the photos and drawings of the artist to make sure they are capable of doing the design you want. Remember all shops want to sell you a tattoo, choose carefully.
What To Know About Hygiene
We use the most up to date methods to minimise your health risks. We sterilize our equipment in an autoclave, the most effective way of eliminating viruses such as hepatitis A, B, C and HIV. We use new needles, vaseline, examination gloves and pigments. All equipment is covered in cling wrap so as to avoid cross infection and all items are discarded as soon as the tattoo has been applied.
We want you to be confident and assured that your decision to be tattooed in our studio has been the right one.
Caring For Your Tattoo
Having made the decision to be tattooed the after care is very important as to making sure your tattoo heals nicely.
We have taken all the necessary steps to make sure your tattoo has been applied not only artistically correct but also hygienically correct, now the rest is up to you!
Avoid swimming or soaking the tattoo for the first week. You may wash the tattoo daily in the shower. Definitely do not expose the tattoo to the sun for the first two weeks. Your tattoo will always look brighter if you avoid having them exposed to the suns harmful UV rays. If you must go in the sun apply a total sunblock, only after the tattoo has healed.
Do not let anyone touch the tattoo while it is healing. Apply Bepanthen cream 3-4 times per day for one week.
Please take your time and feel free to ask us any questions. We would like this to be a positive experience for you because the rewards will last you a lifetime.
Most Commonly Asked Questions.
Does it hurt?
Yes, there is some discomfort. The tolerance to pain varies greatly from person to person. It is best described as a warm scratch. Remember the tattoo will last long after the pain is forgotten.
How much does a tattoo cost? Prices depend on the amount of work to be done. Designs on the wall are already priced, if you desire a custom tattoo an estimation will be given at the time of consultation.
Can I bring in my own design? Yes, most definitely, but this must be done prior to making an appointment so we can prepare your design and make any necessary adjustments.
Can I have my tattoo removed? If you are considering this question do not get tattooed. You must be 100% sure that you want to be tattooed. Laser or surgical removal is expensive and not guaranteed to remove all of the tattoo without scarring. Please be sure of your decision.
